Ballet
Ballet I - Ages 10-14
When: Thursday 5pm
Instructor: Jacqueline Rash
As ballet is the foundation of all Western dance, this class will focus on correct placement and fundamental ballet steps. Emphasis is placed on strengthening and stretching your own body type, coordinating large and small movements, and increasing basic movement knowledge; greatly helping students in all areas of dance and stage performance.
Ballet I - Ages 15+
When: Thursday 6pm
Instructor: Jacqueline Rash
Older students will enjoy this beginning level ballet class with students their own age and ability level. Ballet gives a solid foundation for all other forms of dance and is highly encouraged for all dancers, actors and singers. Energetic music and moderate pace make this class enjoyable for high school and college students.
Ballet II - Ages 10+
When: Tuesday 7pm
Instructor: Jacqueline Rash
Students will focus on building strength and balance necessary to dance en pointe. Combinations move from a one part to at two part sequence for most barre exercises. Sequences will include dancing on the downbeat, upbeat and syncopated rhythms. Students are challenged to incorporate artistry into their training by executing exercises as a dance itself.
