About PACE...

PACE - Performing Arts in Children's Education was formed in December, 2003 with the express desire of developing a youth theatre program uniquely and exclusively for young people. Most theatre programs for children are under the umbrella of a parent organization that primarily accommodates adult actors with the youth program as its secondary focus. PACE offers high quality entertainment for all ages.

Our ideal location at the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts is a dream-come-true at this popular historic venue that opened in 1928. With the recent restoration complete our young people perform on a stage that was graced by vaudeville acts almost 100 years ago! Additionally, our Arts in Health program is performed once a year on the University of Missouri's campus in Jesse Hall Auditorium.

PACE classes adhere to the philosophy, goals and objectives of the American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE). Class guidelines are based on current practice, research and the expertise of more than 70 project contributors from across the nation.

PACT, our youth advisory committee, performs for hospitals, schools, clubs, and other civic organizations as well as contributing to the mission of the company.

PACE is proud to serve as a Partner-in-Education for Hickman High School, Smithton Middle School and Benton Elementary School.
