The Jellybean Conspiracy

The Jellybean Conspiracy is a play about the "differently-abled." The production gives those who are differently-abled interactions with their non-disabled peers in a safe and affirming environment. Additionally all young people learn the skills of considered kindness and thoughtful inclusion.
We believe that through the performance of this play we educate many young people about the difficulties of being a child with special needs in an environment that may accommodate them, but not include them. We also believe that knowledge dispels fears that children have of others who are different.
The Jellybean Conspiracy provides life challenges and changes attitudes and values for all participants (cast, crew, students, parents, audiences) as it is these that shape our contribution to the community. It also increases artistic and life skills, and improve status for differently-abled students among their peers. Curriculum designed by The Jellybean Conspiracy organization for grades K-12 to all teachers is available to all teachers.
