Outreach

PACE has a committed outreach program as it strives to be active in the community. PACE entertains in a variety of venues including after-school programs, CAL Art in the Park, OCA Fall Arts Festival and Title I reading programs. Our mission is served by supporting the evidence that acting out stories contributes to the development of reading comprehension providing many children in the community their first encounter with a live theatrical event. PACE also tries to serve the community in creative ways, such as sponsoring a food drive for the Central Missouri Food Bank during the summer performance of "Oliver!"
As Partners-in-Education with Hickman High School and Smithton Middle School and as a Friend in Education with Benton Elementary, we enthusiastically extend our services to the needs of the schools offering scholarships, complimentary tickets, workshops, and classroom support.
We sponsor annual workshops through the Heart of Missouri Girl Scout Council. We contribute free or discount tickets to schools including Missouri School for the Deaf, arts and youth organizations, English as Language Learner classes, Columbia Public Schools Stand by Me program and area church groups.
