Meg Phillips is an actor, musician, director, and playwright. Favorite roles include Maria in The Sound of Music, Suzy in Wait Until Dark, Anne Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, Marian in The Music Man, and the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, for which she was nominated for an Irene Ryan Award. Meg has assistant-directed and directed a variety of plays and has written four full-length murder mystery dinner theatre scripts, two of which she composed music for. She and local playwright Chris Bowling co-wrote the script to the original full-length musical “Plan Nine – the Musical from Outer Space” which was performed at Maplewood Barn Theatre in summer 2008. Meg is the co-owner of Hormonal Imbalance Theatre Troupe, sings tenor for the female a capella quartet Hot Pursuit, and is a founding member of No Content, a local improv troupe.
