Allyssa Huskey

Allyssa first discovered her passion for all things theater during her freshman year of high school when she enrolled in a Theater Tech class because she needed a fine arts credit and it looked interesting. She was hooked in less than thirty minutes. She was made Head of Props/Costumes Department during her Sophomore year, because she was the only person in the class who knew how to sew, and continued in this position until a class reorganization split the Props/Costumes department into two. She remained Head of Costumes until her graduation in 2010.

Allyssa's first experience with PACE was as a costume dresser for The Wizard of Oz in 2009. Later that fall, she had the opportunity to stage manage for The Diary of Anne Frank, and that winter she acted in and stage managed for Window Pains. From the 2010 to 2011, she was the costume designer for Alice in Wonderland, Bridge to Terabithia, and Peter Pan. In the summer of 2011 she took a brief hiatus from PACE because she was hired to be the Technical Director for Maplewood Barn. At the end of the summer she was thrilled to receive a job offer from PACE to be their Technical Director, and accepted their offer after approximately thirty seconds of careful deliberation.

When Allyssa is not working or volunteering with various theater companies, she attends the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she is an Early Childhood Education major. After graduation, she would like to teach preschool or kindergarten, and continue to devote as much time to theater as is practical!
